We here at What’s Your Tag? are pretty green when it comes to video reviews, but it’s something we’re dipping our toes into and something we’ll definitely be focusing on going forward. Our first ever video review highlights the indie skater OlliOlli and it’s recent release on Xbox One.

Hardcore skate fans will find a lot to love in OlliOlli, but the casual game mechanics might be a huge turn-off for some. If you’re looking for a game to quickly pop on for 15 or 20 minutes, this is a perfect break from the grind of Destiny or Diablo 3, but the arcadey nature makes it hard to invest any serious time into. It may not quite scratch that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater itch, but the accurate trick mechanics and engaging challenges offer a solid amount of entertainment.

Recommended for fans of: Skateboarding, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, mobile games, and indie pixel art.

*This review is based on the recently released Xbox One version of OlliOlli, which is also available on PS Vita, PS4, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U. Unless we find significant differences between each version, consider this our definitive review.

If there are any upcoming games you folks would like to see a video review of, let us know in the comment section below. We’ll be trying to bust out as many of these as we can and we want to make sure we cover stuff you guys are excited about.
