E3 is over, and it’s time to talk brass tax with the guys from What’s Your Tag?. There were tons of exclusives this year, some new IP, and mind-blowing console updates like backwards compatibility and a new Early Access program. It’s definitely a great time to be an Xbox owner.
There’s a lot to talk to about, so Miles and Brad discussed every bit of the Xbox E3 presentation, broken down in to categories for your convenience. Although we’re Xbox people at heart, we enjoy video games as a whole and briefly discuss bits of the Sony and Nintendo presentations as well, but we’re not as excited as you might think.
If you just want to skip around, here’s the breakdown:
- Halo 5: Guardians
- ReCore & Xbox One backwards compatibility
- Xbox Elite Controller
- Fallout 4 & PC mods coming to Xbox
- EA Access & Forza 6
- Tom Clancy stuff & Xbox Game Preview
- ID@Xbox announcements
- HoloLens & VR
- Gears 4 & Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
- Final Fantasy VII Remake
- Short thoughts on Sony’s presentation
You may notice there’s no mention of Rise of the Tomb Raider. We mention it briefly early on, and for whatever reason thought we already discussed it so we just moved right along. Sorry! (We both thought it looked really good, for what it’s worth.)
