ZombiU Coming to Xbox One August 18th as ‘ZOMBI’

There have been rumors for months now that Ubisoft was looking to port their Wii U exclusive zombie survival game ZombiU to other platforms. This morning, they proved to be true.

Now re-titled ZOMBI, it’ll be a digital only title for Xbox One, PS4, and PC that’ll be “optimized” for the newer platforms. One of the biggest selling points in the Wii U version was the use of the second-screen GamePad, and whether or not it’ll make its way to Xbox One via SmartGlass has yet to be confirmed–though we seriously doubt it’d be used in exactly the same way, and chances are it’ll be scrapped altogether in favor of a raw first-person horror experience.

That’s really all we have to go on at this point. There’s no confirmed price, no info on multi-player, or the above mentioned second-screen experience. We’ll have to wait for more information from Ubisoft first, but with less than three weeks to go, we may just have to wait until release day.

  1. I can see no way to integrate a multi player aspect to ZombiU!

This is one of my favourite horror games of recent times and it had the unique aspect of your friend list appearing as Zombies in your game. They appear in the area they died and it works great!

I won’t double dip as the “upgrade” doesn’t actually appear to be that. The game will suffer from not having to look away from the threats to go into your inventory!

If you haven’t played ZombiU I recommend buying post haste!

      1. They are apparently going to have the inventory fill up most of the main screen when you’re looting to try and keep the tension high.
