Backwards compatibility is pretty damn awesome, and for a limited time you can pick up free digital copies of all 4 Gears of War titles if you buy and play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One between its launch on August 25th and the end of the year on December 31st.
Microsoft and The Coalition confirmed earlier today that the original Gears of War (along with Shadow Complex) has been added to the ever growing list of games compatible with the Xbox One’s BC feature. Now it’s only a matter of time before all 4 are available to play when the feature rolls out for everyone later this year.
