Harold Ramis 1944-2014

Sadly yesterday we lost Harold Ramis, one of the funniest and most talented people in Hollywood. The writer/actor/director whose hand shaped classics like Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Stripes, and of course one of my all time favorites, Ghostbusters. While not technically a video game icon (the 2009 Ghostbusters game is pretty good though), he was certainly influential in all manners of comedy and science fiction and he will be sorely missed.

It’s also a good excuse to bust out these Ghostbusters/Super Mario Bros. mash up animations from the fantastic James Farr:

And part 2:

R.I.P. Egon.
