Low Budget Gamer – Wii U eShop Deals, Dr. Luigi, Two Tribes Classics and Select Retail Games Reduced

If you own a Wii U and are looking to bulk up your digital collection, Nintendo currently has a few different sales and promotions going on right now that may tickle your fancy. So what’s the what? Let’s check the menu!

Dr. Luigi is prescribing a $5.00 discount off of his game if you currently own or purchase the NES classic Dr. Mario on the Wii U virtual console, dropping Dr. Luigi down to just $9.99. This updated version of Dr. Mario features a different hero, updated visuals, a new Operation L mode as well as local and online multi-player. This promotion will expire on April 10th at 9am.

Next up on the list is the current Two Tribes Classics promotion, offering their charming indie titles Toki Tori, EDGE and RUSH for only $1.99 each. If you’re looking for more discounts on indie titles, you still have a few days to pick up Nano Assault NEO for $7.49 and Blok Drop U for just $0.99.

And finally, Nintendo has permanently reduced the cost of 4 digital retail releases on the eShop.

  • The Wonderful 101 – $29.99 (was $59.99)
  • Sing Party – $19.99 (was $49.99)
  • Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge – $29.99 (was $59.99)

So there you have it! Don’t forget that starting today you can pick up the Game Boy Advance classics Metroid Fusion, Advance Wars and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga for $7.99 each, with new GBA classics hitting the eShop every week this month.

      I think the Wii U currently has a pretty solid indie line-up, really. Little Inferno, Chasing Aurora, both Mighty Switch Force titles, Mutant Mudds Deluxe and Toki Tori were all really fun to me. Of course more would be better, but Shovel Knight is also due out here at any moment.
