Low Budget Gamer: Xbox Live Deals With Gold & Spotlight Sale for 11/17-11/23

*Low Budget Gamer is our weekly post highlighting deals on Xbox Live and Playstation Network, as well as the occasional random sale post should the need arise. Although sales are usually the same across the board, I should note that all prices listed are in USD.

Another Tuesday, another Xbox Live sale. I’m sure you’re all busy playing the newly released Star Wars: Battlefront, but for anyone out there looking to beef up their digital Xbox collection there’s a few decent sales worth mentioning this week.

Xbox One:

  • Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition – 40% off
  • Killer Instinct – TJ Combo – 80% off
  • OlliOlli – 50% off
  • ScreamRide – 40% off
  • Spy Chameleon – 30% off
  • Tower of Guns – 60% off
  • Warframe Platinum bundles – 30% off
  • Yu-Gi-Oh!: Legacy of the Duelist – 25% off
  • Zumba Fitness World Party – 75% off

If you like stealth games, Spy Chameleon is definitely worth the price of admission. You can check out our review of that one right here. If you own Killer Instinct, chances are that you already have the entire roster unlocked, but if not, that’s a steal price for one of the more fun fighters on the roster.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I think ScreamRide is an under appreciated gem. I picked it up during the Summer Sale for $20 and ended up hooked for a few weeks. There’s three different career modes, each with a separate focus; track building, track riding, and blowing shit up. I had a lot of fun with all of them, but there’s also an endless amount of replay value thanks to its plethora of high quality community created content. If you’re after something different, I highly recommend it. At least on Xbox One.

I’ve heard good things about Tower of Guns and OlliOlli, but neither one are really up my alley. Devil May Cry 4 though.. I may have to pull the trigger on that one. The original was excellent, so I can only imagine how much smoother it feels in its remaster.

Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 1 is free to download now on Xbox One.

If you’re an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, it’s also worth mentioning that you can head over to Xbox.com and download this month’s Xbox 360 freebie to your console. Dungeon Siege III is a co-op dungeon crawler, kind of like Diablo (but made by Square Enix). Its DLC is also on sale this week for 50% off.

Xbox 360:

  • Dungeon Siege III: Treasures of the Sun DLC – 50% off
  • Freefall Racers – 85% off
  • Let’s Sing and Dance – 66% off
  • Metro 2033 – 75% off
  • Narco Terror – 85% off
  • Resident Evil 4 – 70% off
  • Resident Evil 5 – 70% off
  • Resident Evil 6 – 67% off
  • Resident Evil Revelations 2 – Season Pass – 40% off
  • Risen – 75% off
  • Risen 2: Dark Waters – 75% off
  • Risen 3: Titan Lords – 75% off
  • Sacred Citadel – 80% off
  • ScreamRide – 40% off
  • Summer Stars 2012 – 85% off
  • Winter Stars – 85% off
  • Zumba Fitness World Party – 75% off

Aside from the obvious recommendations (Summer Stars 2012.. woo..), I stand by the Risen series. Sure, they play like crap most of the time, but they’re funny and enjoyable if you’re in to action RPGs with boatloads of cursing.

I’m kind of disappointed they aren’t offering the same Resident Evil Revelations 2 discount on Xbox One. Ah well, can’t win em all.

Overall there’s not much to get excited about, but what do you say? Picking anything up?

  1. Dungeon Siege III had so much potential to be a good game, but questionable design decisions killed it for my wife and I. Whoever is second player doesn’t have their progress saved and that was a deal breaker for us. Just stick to Diablo.

I’m not that impressed with the deals. Then again I never am because of the amazing deals I get on my PC almost everyday. I need to get back into my Xbox somehow :].

    1. Yeah, more often than not I find it hard to get excited over these Xbox deals. It’s usually the same old shit–Warframe currency, NBA 2K currency, another Grand Theft Auto V sale.

Thankfully my GF and I each have our own Xbox, so we don’t have to deal with split-screen limitations. If we had to share one (we have before), knowing that one of us would always lose our progress would be a huge deal breaker.
