There is one PS4 exclusive in particular that has me rather intrigued and extremely confused. Lately, I’ve had this uncontrollable desire to learn everything there is to know about Deep Down.
I want to see more of this game in action. Very little gameplay has been shown so far, but what we have seen looks oddly familiar. It’s part Dark Souls and part Monster Hunter. Could it be an improved engine based off the foundations of Dragon’s Dogma? Hopefully we will get a better look at the way Deep Down plays during Sony’s live stream from Tokyo Game Show tomorrow at 12:10PM Japan Time.
To build a little more anticipation for the stream, Sony released three brand new screenshots today.
They are very beautiful, but again, leave me feeling very confused. It’s a fantasy RPG set in a futuristic New York city, but there are dragons, monsters and an assortment of demons. Many of the screenshots also feature castles and things most people would associate with a more medieval setting. Are we going Assassin’s Creed style on this RPG? I honestly don’t have a clue. The more research I did, the more confused I became. For now, I’m just going to look at the pretty pictures and hope a more straight-forward explanation of this game is released soon.
Deep Down is PS4 exclusive scheduled to launch in 2014.
after watching the trailer i think i have the same conclusion that it could be assassins creed meets DD. if that is the case I don’t mind much once it’s well thought out why that has to be.
I wouldn’t mind a fantasy/sci-fi fusion. I think, if done well, it could turn out to be really interesting. Again, I wish I knew a little bit more.
I think its a similar time thing they had in AS but more of a Dark Souls game… which i can live with
Also might be a dungeon crawler, that’s the vibe i got from it, similar to binding of isaac but in beautiful 3d
The gameplay looks incredibly similar to Dark Souls. That’s for sure.
I think you have made me very curious about this and when a nerd gets curious you know what happens.
Hahaha oh yes I do… It’s all down hill from here.
Don’t remind me 😉
