Sonic Lost World released for the Wii U and 3DS to mixed reviews, but Sega has been using their collaboration with Nintendo in a big way. The Wii U version of Sonic Lost World recently received a free Yoshi’s Island themed zone, complete with 2D platforming, egg collecting and Yarn Yoshi level design, and now Sega is set to strike at the nostalgic hearts of millions with another free add-on – The Legend of Zelda. I smell an increase in sales coming!
The Legend of Zelda Zone will again only arrive on the Wii U, but will feature Sonic dressed as everyone’s favorite Hyrulian adventurer while he explores a much more open world than we saw in the Yoshi’s Island DLC. Judging by the trailer we’ll see all sorts of familiar faces, collect rupees and get chased down by Gorons. It seems that Sega really put a lot of TLC in to the free DLC, regardless of the lukewarm reception Sonic Lost World received when it released last year.
The Legend of Zelda Zone will be free to download on the Wii U eShop tomorrow, and you can expect a prompt review here at What’s Your Tag?!
