This year’s E3 promises to deliver an outrageous amount to fight fans. Just a few days ago, Mortal Kombat X was officially announced and today Ed Boon revealed some very exciting new information about the upcoming fighter via Twitter.

Anyone who follows Ed Boon on Twitter knows he’s very active when it comes to interacting with the community. A fan recently asked if we should expect some new characters in Mortal Kombat X and Boon replied “Yes! Two of my new favourites will be at E3!” He also promised we’d see some legitimate gameplay and get a look at the game’s plot.
Mortal Kombat X is scheduled to release sometime next year on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, Ps3, and PC. The slick new cover art promises the return of Scorpion and the reveal trailer shows Sub Zero getting decimated, but what other characters are returning for the latest entry in the series?

Scorpion has always been my favorite, but I’m also a big fan of Mileena, Baraka and Sektor. Mortal Kombat just has so many iconic characters that you really can’t go wrong with the roster.
Scorpion and Reptile were always my favorites, but I also really liked Sub Zero. Basically any of the ninja clones.
I hated what they did with Ermac, Noob and Rain until the last game. Then they all felt like their own characters.
